We all experience dark phases in life. Sometimes, we simply need someone to help hold the light and walk alongside us as we find our way forward.

My name is Kasey Seltner, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health in Delaware and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. I have experience working with adolescents and adults across a wide range of concerns.

Through my work with the Cecil County, Maryland Trauma Grant, I have provided trauma-informed therapy to children and families impacted by substance use and adverse life experiences. My clinical experience includes supporting clients with:

· Anxiety and depression
· Perinatal and post-partum anxiety and depression
· Stress
· Behavioral challenges
· Trauma and adjustment difficulties
· Family, relational, and communication concerns
· Autism spectrum disorder and ADHD
· Executive functioning skills
· Life transitions, including early adulthood

Treatment Approach

Imagine waking up in total darkness—struggling to find the light, unsure of the overwhelming thoughts that fill your mind, and feeling as though no one truly understands what you’re going through or how to help. Then one day, you catch a glimpse of light. That light listens, supports, and guides you—without judgment.

That, in essence, is therapy—and how I strive to show up for each of my clients.

My approach is rooted in client-centered and solution-focused therapy. I believe that each person already possesses the inner strengths and tools needed to live a meaningful and fulfilling life—sometimes we just need support in rediscovering them. I am committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and supported, even when the therapeutic process feels challenging.

Therapy can be both beautiful and uncomfortable—but within that process lies growth, healing, and transformation.
